Making it into the top 50 of anything can be difficult. Just ask Britain’s 51st greatest scrabble player, whoever that is. Today we cracked a cracking top 50 after being recognised as one of this year’s CE50.
The CE50 report is a yearly event that celebrates innovative and disruptive companies across the creative industry spectrum. Hosted by Creative England the report is decided by a panel of experts who choose from a range of candidates including filmmakers, software developers, independent game studios and more.
The report aims to shine a light on innovative products and services which combine creative insight and potential commercial success. In so doing the report helps bring small to medium enterprises to the attention of larger entities looking for highly skilled and professional work. It was our unique 3D Scan Store which caught the attention of the panel.
The scan store offers a library of 3D scanned items. The scans are all scaled to the correct physical dimensions and come with 8K diffuse, normal and displacement maps. Once purchased the scans can be placed in a scene in a matter of minutes! All this combined with an affordable price point.
Said Gelato founder Eddy Strickland, "The CE50 is always full of exciting companies and talented people. To be considered among them is an honour. We feel this is a testament to the potential of the scan store, our portfolio of work and the creative ideals Gelato aspires to’.
Our thanks to Creative England and all the companies in this years’s CE50!
The 51st best scrabble player in the world by the way? One Roger Hamflake Jones of Bolton, Lancs.
